In this lab I performed a quick format on a USB storage device and successfully recovered the deleted files using the PhotoRec application. My initial attempt to undelete the files with the TestDisk application was unsuccessful as the files were not recognized by TestDisk. However, the companion app PhotoRec was able to do the job. The image below shows the results of the recovery process, including a list of the files that were recovered.
